Summary
I grew up sailing on my father’s 22 ft Tanzer on the lakes and rivers of Minnesota and New Jersey. I sailed small boat – Lasers, Sunfish, Hobie Cats – when opportunities presented themselves along the way. In my 20s, I began chartering larger, 30-36 ft cruisers for daysails, first with my father, then as skipper out of Marina del Rey a few times a year for about 10 years until I joined a community yacht club. Since then, I have acquired formal training and certifications, as well as many hours on boats ranging from 22 to 40 ft, mostly monohulls (Catalina, Hunter, Beneteau, and Jeanneau), but also including a F-28 folding trimaran. I began bareboat chartering internationally in 2018 with a 7-day cruise in the British Virgin Islands.

Testimonials
Ben is a very thoughtful, intelligent, and even tempered skipper and sailor. He is mentally fit, physically fit, and tries very hard to be the best at what he attempts. I’m pleased to unequivocally recommend Ben for the position of club trainer.
